Directions
From the roundabout in Princetown, turn right onto Tor Royal Lane. Follow the lane up and over the hill. Immediately after the road bends right, follow the road (do not cross the white dashed line). We are on the left immediately after the short run of treed fence.
There is a small car park at the road with a subtle Duchy of Cornwall parking sign on a rock, please park here. The houses directly opposite are currently empty. You are welcome to park in front of them if the designated parking area is full. All roads/tracks are actively used by the farmers (including the horse boxes). They appreciate very much when you park in the designated areas.
If you go up a second hill, you've gone too far. If you bump into a stone wall, you've missed the right hand bend in the road.
The workshop has a sign you can see from the road when the weather is good: Tor Royal Workshops. Sometimes we also hang our sign outside beneath this one, but not always.
We are the first workshop inside this building. Please knock, and then let yourself in by sliding the right-hand door to the right.
Facilities
- The main space is wheelchair accessible for visitors. There is a small bump as you cross through the sliding doors.
- There is a toilet on premise, it is not wheelchair accessible.
- Dogs are welcome; however, two quick points to consider (1) Emma is allergic to dogs (2) there are working dogs on the farm. The farm dogs are not allowed into our studio, but you may encounter them.
- If you are bringing your dog(s), please keep them on a lead at all times.
- Please be prepared for livestock on the road (sheep, cows, horses, goats).
- There is limited cell phone reception once you are on the farm. Do not assume you will be able to ring once you're close by.
