Planting Questions for University of Exeter, UKRI-funded

The University of Exeter worked with Princetown Press to create distinctive and meaningful booklets for policymakers to offer ways of thinking about ethics within Treescapes and landscape decision-making, drawing on MEMBRA’s Humanities research. Dr Katharine Earnshaw (Research Lead, Net Positive Centre at the University of Exeter), Emma Hogbin (Princetown Press), and Jon Palmer (Princetown Press) worked together on this unique way of expressing research. Encounters Shop banner

The former visitors centre was used for a village visioning process. We were commissioned to create signage for the pop-up experience. For this project, we letterpress printed text which was then digitised and blown up to create a large banner. Several versions of the poster were made, each with their own inking.

Princetown Vision

After the closure of the Dartmoor National Park visitors' centre, the Princetown community engaged in a visioning process. This was led by a group of artists under the banner of the "Encounters Shop". We were commissioned to create a postcard that could be used to collect opinions from the community on its vision for Princetown. One thousand postcards were printed on our 1910 treadle press. This work was funded by the Duchy of Cornwall.
