The paper used for the cards and the envelopes is made at the UK's oldest mechanical paper mill. The recycled nature of this card, with its unique flecks and imperfections, reflect perfectly what it means to write a card by hand in this modern age.
The cards are printed in-house on a vintage, human-powered press using traditional letterpress typesetting techniques.
Each set is handmade in the UK includes 6 cards and envelopes. The packaging for your set is designed and made in-house from British, recycled papers from three unique paper mills. The band is then printed, subtly, with our logo.
This set is perfect for gift giving, or to treat yourself.
10% of profits from the sale of this stationery set goes to environmental charities that support hedgerow and forest regeneration, and peatland regeneration (hence: Acorn & Mire).
The pencils shown in the picture are available in right-or-left handed orientations. They are made in one of England's last pencil-making factories. To ensure smooth writing on the cards, the pencil are available in a "B" grade. This is a little softer than a bog-standard pencil, but not so soft that you are likely to smudge your words. Yes, you can use pencil to address your envelopes. Even international mail. We've already tested it for you.
