Birthday notecards - printed with wood type

These birthday cards are for those of you who have asked me, desperately, for birthday cards. They aren't as cheap as what you can get from the village shop, but also they aren't as cheap as what you'll get from the village shop. (Y'know?)

These cards are printed the old-fashioned way. First wooden letters are set out on our proofing press. Then, they are inked by hand using British-made letterpress ink. Finally, the paper is set onto the inked letters, and the press roller is swished across like an old-fashioned credit card machine. Once the ink is dry, the back of the card is printed again with a little bit of branding for our studio. This printed similarly, but with small metal letters, cast in the UK.

• Format: Notecard (design on one side, blank on the other)
  
• Card stock: Always recycled, and at least 200gsm. Usually British-made.
• Size: A6 (10.5 x 14.8 cm)
• Colours: This is a lucky dip situation. Photos are representative of what you might receive. Wish for what you want on the order notes. Sometimes birthday wishes do come true!
  
• Envelopes: Each card comes with a recycled, British-made envelope
• Quantity: one card and matching envelope
  
• Branding: small print on the back of the card with our studio name, and location
