Our tribute to ecologist Joseph Grinell, the first to develop and popularise the concept of a niche. This gift set includes four everyday notebooks intended to carry in your pocket for rough notes and on-the-go note-taking.

• Pages: 32 pages (16 sheets) of recycled paper made in England from take-away coffee cups. A lovely 120gsm paper with a bit of texture.
• Front & back covers: 380gsm recycled card, made in England from take-away coffee cups.
  
• Colours: Devon Green, Gorse Yellow, Flint Black

• Acorn & Mire pencil made in England from FSC-certified timber. (Please let us know in the comments if you'd like a left-handed pencil. Right handed pencils are supplied by default.)

• Gift box, made in our studio from the matching paper stock as the colour of your field journal.

Acorn & Mire was born out of a desire to support, promote, and nurture the remaining paper mills and merchants in the UK. For this line, we only use UK-manufactured, recycled papers.

It's not about clinging to the past—rather it's about offering an alternative to rapid, mass consumerism. It's about supporting our neighbours, and honouring our friendships with something better than cheap and fast.

A portion of the sales from any of our Acorn & Mire products are donated to forest and hedgerow regeneration projects; and to peatland-related projects.
