Intro to Letterpress Printing - Affirmations - Workshop in Devon, England

You are beautiful. You are loved. You are enough. These are my three favourite affirmations to print and send as greeting cards. On top of these, I have the positive intentions that I work with regularly in my own life. Creating affirmations and intentions can help you adjust negative thought patterns and release you from limiting beliefs. In short: they're pretty darn powerful. It's okay if you're not sure what your positive intentions, or affirmations might be. We'll have more than a few examples for you to mull over.

In this short workshop, we'll choose and print your affirmation. You will be able to choose from notebook covers, greeting cards, or a large poster. We'll also introduce you to our favourite studio processes so you don't get overwhelmed trying to choose the perfect thing to print.

What's included:

  • One-to-one support to design and print your affirmation
  • Two hours in the workshop, with full access to our printing supplies.
  • Surprising creative techniques on how to overcome indecision when you are overwhelmed with choices in life.
  • Coffee/tea are provided.
  • You are welcome to bring a friend or family member at no additional charge. Please let us know at the time of booking if there will be one or two people attending. There will only be time to print one design.

Prior experience required: absolutely none! Even if you think you have zero artistic talent, this workshop is perfect for you. 

The workshop is open to everyone, however, there is not an accessible toilet on-site. Participants under the age of 18 will probably benefit from having an older family member or guardian present. The presses are designed to be used while standing, and there is limited seating. Please get in touch if you like to talk through any accommodations that might improve your experience in the studio, or if you have any other questions or concerns about the workshop or facilities.

The workshop is held at our workshop in Princetown, Devon, England. The space is unheated, so please dress warmly if you are booking a workshop during the colder months.

Workshop participants will have access to 15% off all Princetown Press products during their time at the studio.

The workshop is held at Duchy Square in Princetown. The venue is
wheelchair accessible, but the presses are designed to be used while standing and there is limited seating. Please get in touch if this will be challenging for you, and we can talk through what accommodations might improve your experience in the studio.

We will do everything we can to accommodate vulnerable workshop participants. This includes masking, keeping the window open, and having hand sanitiser available. You may be asked to wear a mask whilst in the workshop. We hope this is not an imposition, but if it is not possible for you to wear a mask, please book a private workshop instead.

Yes! Private workshops are available, and are a great option for friends, couples, and families.

The studio is tiny. We cannot accommodate more than four people working on a maximum of two projects. If your group is more than two people, please think carefully about how your group works together in tight spaces before registering.

Yes, kids are welcome! Generally speaking, the older the kids, the more likely they'll have the attention span for a multi-hour workshop. You know your little ones best, though.

To book a private workshop: register here, and we'll be in touch to find a mutually suitable date (generally the lead time is 2-3 months). If we can't agree on a date, you will receive a full refund. Once the date is agreed in writing (email), the standard cancellation policy will apply.

If you're not sure, please reach out *before* you book a private workshop.

Princetown Press reserves the right to cancel a workshop.

We require at least 3 days notice of cancellation to receive a full refund. Any cancellation less than 3 days prior to the workshop, will receive a workshop credit good for 60 days for any available workshop of equal value.

If you are more than 45 minutes late, you will be considered a “no show” and it will be too late to receive a refund, workshop credit or begin typesetting & printing at this point.
